  1. Stage I (Dukes' A, B1) 
  2. TNM T1-2, N0, M0
  3. The cancer is confined to the lining or muscular wall of the colon and has not yet spread anywhere else.

  5. Standard Treatment  This stage is highly curable. Radical surgery is the primary treatment and results in a high cure rate. According to the 1990 Consensus Conference on Colon Cancer, no adjuvant therapy is warranted for this stage because of the low risk for recurrence .
